Safety Guidelines

Warning: Read the safety guidelines at surf-brain.com/pages/safety before use. Surf Brain Caps are not a helmet, but, rather is a “Bump Cap” intended to provide minimal protection from blows to the head area while surfing and boogie boarding (the “Intended Use”). The SurfBrain does not provide adequate protection against the effects of serious impacts to the head and the resulting possibility of head trauma and or spinal injuries. We make no claim that this product improves your safety while surfing or enjoying any other activity. Any Surf Brain Cap showing signs of damage should be replaced. Do not modify or remove original component parts or adapt for a use not specified in the product listing.

Danger: Do not use the Surf Brain Hat as a protective device for any activity other than the Intended Use, including, without limitation, the use of a bicycle, motorcycle, scooter, Segway, ATV, or other vehicle, and engaging in any other athletic activity such baseball, softball, football, lacross, soccer, horseback riding, polo, kayaking, etc.

Proper Fit: Generally fit heads with a circumference of 21 inches to 23 inches or a medium/large. Don't buy the helmet if you have an especially large or small head. You can not stretch into a plastic shell :) If you do anyways and the helmet fit doesn't feel right then don't wear it. Be sure the front of the hat lays just above your eyebrows and that the back of the hat does not touch the nape of your neck. The chin strap should fit snug but not too tight to cause discomfort or choking. Securely fasten the chin strap and try to roll the hat off your head. If the skin on your forehead moves slightly, you have a good fit.
